Car Rental Rates and Vehicle Hire Options

Welcome New Zealand Car Rental Services and Car Hire New Zealand. We offer quite a range of cars from different wholesale dealers. From budget cars, in general older than 8 years, from NZ$32 a day in the low season, to a wide range of Deluxe Cars, in general 6-12 months old, from NZ$55 a day in the high season (conditions may apply). We are agents for Hertz, Avis, National Car Rental, Maui, Budget, Thrifty, Apex, Ace, Omega and Nationwide - all car rental professionals. Our listed car rental rates are per 24 hrs hire.

Car rental companies and other tourist businesses that offer car hire in New Zealand require a bond (excess) which will be refunded upon return of the rental vehicle in a good condition. A credit card imprint is also sufficient. Bond waivers are sometimes available. To make reservations for car hire we require full credit card details.

Deluxe AA

Late Model Car: Sedan or Stationwagon

All rates above include standard insurance, GST and unlimited kms. Excess is $2812.50.
AER (Accident Excess Reduction): $17 per day reduces the excess to $225
Minimum age: 21 years

One way rental is available and a minimum charge of 3 days and will apply for inter-city rentals.

To drop off in a different city from pickup a minimum rental of 3 days is required.

Deluxe AA
Sedan Hatchback

All rates include standard insurance and GST. The Excess is $2250.
Insurance excess waiver is available at an additional NZ$17 per day which reduces the excess to NZ$281.25.
Note: One to three day hires are available - limited to 250 kms per day with an excess of 0.27c per km.

Available from Downtown Auckland, Auckland Airport, Rotorua, Tauranga, Palmerston North, Hamilton, Wellington, Picton, Christchurch, Greymouth, Queenstown, Dunedin and Invercargill.
To drop off in a different city from pickup a minimum rental of 5 days is required.

Deluxe A

Insurance:
Rates include standard insurance.
Standard Insurance Excess is $750.
Low Damage Waiver: $8 per day.
To save Ferry crossing cost, a vehicle can be dropped off at Ferry Terminals (Picton or Wellington), but minimum 7 day rental on each island is required.

To dropoff in a different city from pickup a minimum rental of 7 days applies. 

Deluxe A

Cars are available in Auckland and Christchurch Only
Rates are for Pick-up and Drop-off in the same city

Economy

Insurance:
Rates include standard insurance
Standard excess required : NZ$1125 for drivers 25 years or over
Excess  NZ$1686 for drivers 21 - 24 years
20 years or under NZ$2250.

An optional Collision Damage Waiver is available to driver 25 years and over for an
- additional NZ$10 perday. This reduces excess to NZ$281.25 and includes Full Insurance cover including Third party;
- additional NZ$15 perday. This reduces excess to NZ$281.25 and includes Full Insurance cover including Third party Windscreen Liability reduced to zero.

For drivers or any age we offer windscreens and glass cover only on all vehicles for an additional NZ$5 per day.  (Standad excess amounts apply to the rest of the vehicle).
Minimum rental: 3 days.
Rental to and from Greymouth may attract NZ$150 - NZ$250 relocation fee.

 

Economy / Budget cars

Cars below are only available for pick up in Auckland and drop off in Auckland

The rates include:
Comprehensive insurance which includes third-party insurance.
Unlimited mileage
AA 24 hour Breakdown Service
GST (12.5%)

For drivers over the age of 25 the Bond/Excess is $950.
For drivers between the age of 21 and 25 the Bond/Excess is $1500
For drivers under the age of 21 the Bond/Excess is $3000.
